International Partnership – UKRMP and The Stem Cell Network, Canada

August 26, 2021

Establishing International Partnerships.

Stem Cell Network Logo

The UK Regenerative Medicine Platform (UKRMP) and the Stem Cell Network (SCN) in Canada are committed to translating stem cell and regenerative medicine science from the lab to clinical applications. Both organisations are dedicated to training the next generation of regenerative medicine scientists and as such are seeking to form an international partnership to enable PhD students, technicians, post-doctoral associates and fellows the opportunity to expand their networks, develop new skills and form collaborations between the two countries.

We aim to deliver a series of events and opportunities which are desirable to highly trained professionals within the field of regenerative medicine. We are planning to develop a scientist exchange programme and to hold job fairs, talent exposés and workshops to encourage UK and Canadian scientists to interact and expand their networks. If you would like to suggest an opportunity that we have not yet thought of, please get in touch with one of the UKRMP project managers: Zoe Hewitt, Robin Morton or Bohwon Kim.

Scientist Exchange Programme

We are looking to establish an exchange programme with stem cell laboratories in Canada, so that either UK Scientists can visit a Canadian lab to learn a new technique or skill or a UK group can host a Canadian scientist.

  • Is there a technique you would like to learn?
  • Could you offer cutting edge training and potentially establish a new collaborator?

Job Fairs and Talent Exposé

Are you keen to present yourself to a wider network of potential employers?  Or are you interested in recruiting from a broader pool of applicants?

Are you interested to hear about different roles which you might not have previously considered?

Together we would like to present a transatlantic opportunity for both UK and Canadian researchers and employers to find their perfect fit.

Collaboration Workshop

We are planning to host a workshop to bring together UK and Canadian researchers and provide opportunities to enable networks to form and ideas to be developed.
